Kennels and Cattery
Vaccinations: All dogs accepted for boarding must be accompanied by a current vaccine certificate showing valid vaccination of DHppi, Lepto and Kennel Cough. All cats entering Achnabreac Cattery must be accompanied by a current vaccine certificate showing valid vaccination of CVR. Worming and Tick/Flea treatment s are the responsibility of the owner.
Veterinary Fees: Veterinary fees incurred during the boarding period are the responsibility of the client and must be paid on collection of the pet.
Pet Sharing: A maximum of two dogs from same family unit can share a kennel. A maximum of two cats from same family unit can share a cattery.
Welfare/Safety: Every care will be given to the welfare and safety of all pets boarded. Pets are boarded entirely at the owner’s risk.
Failure to Collect: Failure to collect your pet within fourteen days of due departure will result in Achnabreac Kennels Ltd re-homing or disposing of the pet/pets without further reference to the owner, providing no written extension of boarding period was made.
Belongings: All belongings left on the premises are left entirely at the owner’s own risk. Any bedding, sleeping beds or toys must be in a clean and parasite – free condition. Any belongings becoming soiled during the boarding period will be destroyed, without any liability attaching to the owners of Achnabreac Kennels.
Dog ID: All dogs must be fitted with a securely fastened collar and ID tag and microchip in line with the legal requirements for dog ownership.
Delivery and Collections: Cats must be delivered and collected using a secure cat carrier. All dogs should be delivered on a lead
Pet Carriers: All carriers must be clearly marked with owner’s name and address.
Medications: All medication should be discussed prior to commencement of pet’s boarding. All medication should remain in its original packaging and placed in a bag or container clearly marked with pet’s name, including surname and clear instructions of administration.
Behaviour: Pets with known behavioural issues should be discussed with Achnabreac Kennels’ staff at time of booking. Achnabreac Kennels Ltd reserves the right to refuse admission to any animal that displays a medical or behavioural issue not previously disclosed.
Own Food: Food provided by owner should be discussed with Achnabreac Kennels/ Cattery staff prior to commencement of pet’s boarding, come in sturdy packaging and be clearly labelled with pet’s name (including surname) and clear instructions of apportionment.
Extra Services: extra services such as extra dog walking, bathing or grooming should be discussed prior to boarding and will be priced separately and itemised on the invoice.
Social Media: Please inform Achnabreac Kennels Ltd if you do not consent to your pet’s photograph being used on their social media accounts.
Customer Details: Contact details of customers are held by Achnabreac Kennels Ltd on our secure data bases and are not shared with or sold to any other organisation. Please inform Achnabreac Kennels Ltd if you wish your details removed from our data bases.
Pets Details: Details of pets are kept on our secure data bases but are not shared with or sold to any other organisation.
Timings: Our opening times are 8 am – 12:00 noon Daily (9am – 12:00 Sundays) and 5:00pm – 6:30pm for collections and delivery of pets. We do not offer an out of hours collection or delivery service.
Day Care: Day care for dogs covers the hours of 8:30am to 6:00pm.
Payments for boarding and grooming are required seven days prior to commencement of stay or appointment, this also acts as a confirmation for the stay or appointment.
Cancellations: Cancellation should be made in writing by email 7 days prior to commencement of booking or appointment where a credit note or refund will be issued if payment has been made. A “no show” results in full payment being retained by Achnabreac Kennels Ltd.
Collections: Achnabreac Kennels require prior knowledge of collection of any pet by any other than the owner and reserves the right to refuse hand over.
